country in conflict

This is the sixth days of demonstration in Burma, sixth days since Tuesday. I wrote this blog as to record how peoples feel and how the situation progress in Burma. The general feeling among the population are mix. And people are starting to break the Golden rule in Burma. "The Golden rule" among the population concerning the politic is always the same since I could remembered them. Get higher education, get yourself to aboard and called your family there once you get yourself settle down. About the politic , politic is the moon and mars and outer space where you don't go for rest of your life. I don't know if any burmese living in aboard for too long would remembered this golden rule but those of a few who's recently immigrated would understand what I am writing about. The " Golden rule" is now provoking ,the Burmese , the common ones are starting to have their own conflict about this golden rule. The politic , as we know it , the politic which determine our future were never in our own hand and people cowed down and accepted whatever law that have been made. Burmese as I know it and as I am , don't try to change the policy that have been made for us but improvised and walk around it to fit our life and of course to reach the final goal of the "Golden rule", to immigrated at least to Singapore and US at most. But now peoples are starting to have their doubt about this golden rule, peoples are starting to speak their mind openly. But it is not as always as it written in opposition websites or as in government newspaper. The feeling is mix, some are on the monks side and some think monks are just stagging for publicity. Quite a few examples I heard from the street hawkers and bus contractors , just before I logged into this cafe, I heard one hawkers complaining how monks marching and demonstration have ruin her business and she care for the safety of her new born baby ( I guess the memories of 1988 uprising is still fresh on her) and one who's comfort her told her gently that she should not said those unkind and selfish words. She should never said anything like that and I don't catch the rest of the conversation because I am too much of the old burmese to have any curiosity and of course sticking around in open political debated would only cause me more troubles. And a bus contractor whispered that monks had ruin his day but we were stuck in traffic while monks were marching. But that only few negative I heard so far but when in Saturday afternoon (22.09.07) rumors spread that monks were arrested (false rumors) I can see from peoples face that hope have been taken away.
